Vars: A High-Speed Resort
Famous for its Ultra-Fast Slope
Vars is one of the Southern Alps ski resorts with the biggest cult following. Thrill-seekers meet here to test their limits. The Chabrière slope is the fastest ski slope in the world with a record of 254.958 km/h held by Ivan Origone. We prefer to wait for you at the bottom of the slope at the timing cabin, which is open from Thursday to Sunday for speed tests. This season, there are many upcoming events like the Quiksilver Challenge on March 7th. Vars has a solid reputation, particularly due to its Snow Park that delights both young and old. Come and try the Girly Park, Kid Park and the Park des Écrins. For bike fans, there’s no need to rent skis. Have a go at a FatBike, a snow bike with oversized tyres!
