Réallon, Chabanon, Crévoux and Pelvoux-Vallouise

Accommodation-inclusive stays at unbeatable prices

For those of you who want to make the most of the joys of the French Southern Alps for more than one day (downhill skiing or simply snow activities), the Alpine resorts are famous for offering stays at ultra-attractive prices. Located between the Lake of Serre-Ponçon and the Écrins National Park, Réallon was elected in 2024-2025 « the cheapest resort in Europe » by the Holidu site. The classification takes into account the price of the day ski pass and the price of accommodation. In Reallon, much loved by keen downhill skiers and also cross-country skiers, snowshoers and those who love dog-sledge outings with its Nordic area, the average price of a stay is only €44.50 /day! Crévoux, Pelvoux-Vallouise and Chabanon are also in the top 15, with their just as persuasive average prices per day: respectively €49, €52.50 and €55 .

Restaurants and producers with mini-prices

After a day out in the open air, you can succumb without feeling guilty to the pleasure of a good mountain meal. New establishments offer unique, excellent value-for-money gourmet experiences. Head for 1854, in Vars, and enjoy 100% home-made local cuisine, based on products rigorously selected and suitable for vegetarians. In Jausiers, Restaurant Suzume subtly blends the spirit of the mountains and Japanese culinary art, with signature dishes for around €30. And, on top of this, an irresistible view over the Ubaye Valley! And don’t forget producers’ shops. Those in the French Southern Alps combine the best of Alpine terroir at fair prices. Like the brand-new Comptoir des 3 Vallées in Ubaye Serre-Ponçon, the latest best address where you can stock up on local honey, cheese and charcuterie.
