  • The Galerie Le Container is a gallery which specialises in urban and contemporary art. It exhibits the great names in Street Art alongside emerging international graffiti artists. It likes to present original techniques in contemporary art.

  • The gallery came into being in 2016 in shipping containers, a concept devised by Déborah Bosseaux and Clément Dorance, contemporary art enthusiasts and professionals. The gallery came into being in 2016 in shipping containers, a concept devised by Déborah Bosseaux and Clément Dorance, contemporary art enthusiasts and professionals. For 3 years it travelled from city to city, introducing Street Art to art connoisseurs and novices alike. Inside, the containers were transformed into an art gallery and housed an exhibition of urban and contemporary art. During each exhibition, the outer walls of the containers were gradually covered in graffiti, tags, collages and stencils... by the exhibited artists. Each exhibition became in itself an enormous piece of architectural art in the heart of the city.

In 2019, the gallery expanded and settled in Nice. In June 2021, the second exhibition area opened in the historic city centre of Aix-en-Provence.
The Galerie Le Container works with fifteen artists, including some great names in the history of French Street Art like M.Chat and his famous yellow cats with their huge smile, and C125, a portrait artist recognised as the master of the stencil and exhibited all over the world. Alongside them are emerging talents like the Insect, Zeklo and the Austrian graffiti artist Golif who creates huge murals and held an exhibition in the Wien Museum in 2019.
The gallery also has silkscreen prints by Atlas, whose psychedelic lines adorn the L2 Marseille bypass, as well as works by photographer Gericho, a figure in the 'Toy Art' movement.
As regards Contemporary Art, the gallery showcases the works of Jean-Christophe Belaud, a carpet sculptor who produces meticulously crafted work loaded with codes and symbolic messages, the 'raw art' of Leberloa, sculptures by François Bel who works on static movement, and Sébastien Crêteur with his unique hearts from the "Don't go breaking my heart" series painted in acrylic on glass plates.
Added bonus: all works of art below €1,000, silkscreen prints and small works of art are available from the Gallery's online shop.
