LUMA Arles - Everything and More, une projection vidéo de Rachel Rose

Everything and More (2015) is a video projection with sound, which explores the concept of mortality through the out-of-body experience of an astronaut. Set as a dreamlike sequence of images, it is inspired by science fiction movies as well as American astronaut David Wolf’s experience of a spacewalk. Rose is merging these different experiences with abstract images of everyday material interrogating the relationship between realities and fictions, but also between the space of nothingness or void that physical mortality might represent.

Biography:
Rachel Rose is recognized as one of the most innovative artists and filmmakers working today. She is best known for her striking video installations that explore abstract notions of reality, including life and death, or the living and non-living and how the world around us is being shaped based on such notions.
