Maison Laugier

Thematic house in Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée
  • A unique facade in the County of Nice that dates back to the 16th century, a few steps from the central square of the village.

  • One can admire there grimacing heads (grotesques) and the coat of arms of the family of notables. The building was occupied by the Tertiary Sisters of Saint-Therese who left Saint-Etienne to settle in Sospel in the 18th century. The facade was restored by the frescoist Guy Ceppa in 1984.
