The Villa Méditerranée was designed by the architect Stefano Boeri, a committed player on the Italian political and cultural scene and a professor of urban planning.

The building, out of the ordinary, develops its spaces on and under the sea and is distinguished by a spectacular cantilevered projection of 40 meters, above an artificial basin of 2000 m2.
After several years of hosting exhibitions, documentary films, seminars and conferences, the Villa Méditerranée will host a facsimile reconstruction of the prehistoric underwater Cosquer cave.
