La Cité du Livre, within a rehabilitated industrial architecture (the former matches' manufactory of Aix) shelters, in a first part of buildings (Big matches) the Mejanes library settled since 1989, and in a second one (Les petites allumettes) an amphitheater and the Zola gallery in which there are privileged exhibitions participating in a general event, such as the Fête du Livre, the 9th art festival, Phot'Aix, or the Biennale des Arts Numériques...
