Each year, on June 23rd, at nightfall, a moving cortège with "sound and light" takes place in the historic town centre of Valréas : from the church Notre Dame de Nazareth to the Chateau de Simiane, a procession formed with 400 people dressed in period costume stroll past our eyes.
The former little Saint Jean, a little boy from 3 to 5 years old born in Valréas, hands over his authority to the newly elected representative who will look after the city during a whole year.
