Rugby 5-a-side tournament on snow.
The Rugby Club du Pays Briançonnais is organising the 4th edition of its tournament on snow at the Col du Lautaret.
Snow Rugby is a unique experience that combines a passion for the oval ball with the magic of snow-capped mountains.
This event offers an exceptional spectacle and a friendly atmosphere in a postcard setting.
The tournament will take place in the same format as the previous version.
The 16 teams are divided into 4 pools and play 3 ranking matches.
Depending on their ranking, the teams are drawn into 4 final tournaments:
- The Cup for the first 4,
- The Plate for the second 4,
- The Bowl for the third 4,
- The Shield for the fourth 4.
Each team has the opportunity to play 5 matches, making a tournament with 80 matches in one day, plus the 2026 novelty, the gala match.
Alongside the rugby tournament, there are activities for everyone: introductions to rugby on snow supervised by qualified instructors, a musical atmosphere, a snow barbecue with local products cooked over a wood fire and a festive evening.
Every year, this event brings together nearly 200 players from all over France for this moment of solidarity, rallying around charitable causes.
This year, all registration fees will be donated to Tree2Forest, an association working for reforestation in the Southern Alps.
