A new Accueil Vélo at the heart of the Var vineyards
First and foremost, the Château Mentone represents almost a thousand years of history – it can be found in texts dating from 1033. A wine-growing estate for almost two centuries, the chateau is also a guesthouse. Now, it is certified as an “Accueil Vélo” [Cyclists Welcome] site. This label guarantees a high quality welcome to bike enthusiasts with services tailor-made for a great bike holiday.
Bathed by the sun of the Var hinterland and nestled among vineyards and forests, the Château Mentone is truly an ideal stop in Saint-Antonin-du-Var.

VAL DE DURANCE
A newly laid-out section
The “Durance by Bike” is a marked route in the Bouches-du-Rhône that will expand into a 100-km ride by 2025 that traverses both banks of the river from Avignon to Mirabeau.
At the end of 2019, the first section connecting Mallemort and La Roque-d’Anthéron opened. Over 10 km long, cyclists can coast in the fresh air of the surrounding alluvial forest, enjoy the view of the Luberon massif, and skirt the orchards of the agricultural plain.
The banks of the Durance offer a freewheeling space that is made even more exquisite by the peace of the location and the beauty of the landscapes of Provence.
