The Etang de Bolmon, separated from the Etang de Berre by the Dune du Jaï, is a vast lagoon bordered on the south by the Paluns de Marignane marsh.
The two names, Patafloux and Barlatier, refer to a pine forest and a marsh. In the pine forest of Patafloux, a botanical path allows you to see typical Mediterranean and protected plants. In the wetland of the marsh of Barlatier, one can observe, according to the seasons, a fauna and a flora which evokes the Camargue.
These sites are important for the wintering and migration of water birds.
The site of the pond of Bolmon is a protected area.
