This is the larger of the two beaches in the Cabbé cove.
This is the larger of the two beaches in the Cabbé cove.
A public beach with lifeguard surveillance in July and August, it is also the landing area for paragliders launched from Mont Gros. The beach is covered in pebbles, with occasional areas of sand. Access is by foot only, via a flight of stairs from the avenue de la gare (chemin du Golfe Bleu), or via the chemin des douaniers on the western side. Jacques Brel found his inspiration here, living in an adjoining villa. He wrote some of his most beautiful songs here.
