Saint-Hippolyte-le-Graveyron was until 1791 part of the Comtat Venaissin, a territory in the heart of the Papal States. Stretching mainly east of Avignon, from Bollène to Vaison-la-Romaine and Bédoin, the Comtat is renowned for the diversity of its landscapes and its exceptional historical heritage.
