What is that sweet smell that wafts through the workshop? Oh yes, the smell of wood! To enter the universe of Floranne and Guillaume, a couple of Queyrassins in life and partners in work is to discover the beauty of the essences of Queyras!

Passionate about art, sports and nature, Floranne and Guillaume live in a privileged environment in line with their philosophy of life. The Acanthernel workshop was born from a need to return to the roots, to give a new breath to the wood heritage of the Queyras. To bring freshness to a past design, to give impetus to the lines of the armchairs, to add elegance to the curvature of a backrest, to allow forgotten ornaments to take flight....

They propose you contemporary furniture lines, unique pieces entirely made with manual and traditional techniques; but also decorative objects, jewels inspired by nature and ancestral regional patterns. These last ones are edited in limited series thanks to engraving and laser cutting.

Driven by the same attachment to their native Queyras, Floranne and Guillaume, cabinetmakers, woodcarvers, craftsmen and designers, have combined their talents at the Acanthernel workshop. Through their creations, this passionate duo invents a timeless artistic language. Their aim is not to freeze memory, but to revisit the past by infusing it with a touch of modernity, reviving the heritage of tradition through contemporary lines and high-performance techniques.
Anchored in Château-Ville-Vieille, Acantharel's work is rooted in the valley's rich heritage. A meeting place, the workshop is also a place for sharing and learning.
