Airports

Home to 2 international airports (Marseille-Provence and Nice Côte d’Azur) and Toulon-Hyères European airport, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur is France’s 2^nd leading region in terms of passenger traffic outside Paris. It is connected to the entire world, with numerous direct flights or connections via Europe and the Middle East’s main hubs: Paris, London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Dubai, Doha, etc. It takes just 1 ¼ to 1 ½ hours to reach our destinations from Paris… And just 2 hours from Europe’s main cities.

Train

High-speed railway services also provide rapid connections, in particular for travellers to Provence. Avignon is located just 2 hours and 40 minutes from Paris on the high-speed train (TGV) ; Marseille is 3 hours 10 minutes away. High-speed train services are also available from Europe’s main cities: Madrid, Barcelona, Geneva, Frankfurt, Brussels, London, etc.

Sea and river cruise ports

Ideally located on the coast and on the Mediterranean waterways, the Provence-Alpes-Côte d´Azur region benefits from a network of essential sea and river ports for exploring the destination by the sea and inland. Many cruise itineraries combine up to 3 ports in the region.

Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur benefits from a dense and efficient highway network for travellers arriving from northern France and Western Europe (A7 highway), the Rhône Valley, Spain or southwestern France (A9 highway), Italy (A10 highway) and further North (A32).

Our 3 destinations “Provence, Enjoy the Unexpected”, “Alpes French South” and “Côte d’Azur France” are all located within very easy reach of each other: a 3-hour car ride takes you from Avignon in the West to Menton in the East. You can drive from Marseille to Briançon, in the northern part of the Alpes French South, in just 3 ½ hours.
