Built between 1866 and 1871, the chapel was commissioned in 1872.
The building is quite large: length 26 metres - width 9 metres - height 14 metres.
The stained glass windows, commissioned in 1867, are the work of Alphonse Didron, a great glass artist, who also made the windows of the cathedrals of Troyes and Soissons.
