Educational farm dedicated to environmental awareness. Exhibitions, lectures, guided tours and workshops are organized throughout the year.

The Écoferme départementale de la Barre is a 2-hectare sensitive natural area in the heart of Toulon, listed as a nature information point and a refuge by the French League for the Protection of Birds. The site is open to schools, social and medical organizations, associations, leisure centers and the general public. As a place to educate and raise awareness of sustainable development, it invites visitors to reconnect with the natural environment, in order to better preserve it. How to get there : - By bus / Mistral network, lines 9, 39 Tourraine and 14 juillet stops Lines 191, U Malon stop - Cycle path: Les Ameniers section - By car: A 57 freeway . From Toulon, exit at Le Pradet, La Palasse . From Hyères, take the Cap Brun exit, then head for La Palasse. GPS latitude 43.121837 / longitude 5.964253 Opened in 2000, the site houses an 18th-century bastide surrounded by 4 large areas: the farm, the discovery gardens, the liberty gardens & the gardens to cultivate. The gardens and farm are open to all, free of charge. Schools (cycles 2, 3 & 4), associations, specialized schools and Var leisure centers welcome on reservation. Picnics available on site.
