The La Javie Ecomuseum showcases the life of the village and the Haute Bléone region in the past. It takes you on a journey 100 years ago through eight themed exhibitions. It is open by appointment via phone. Admission is free.
Discover a classroom, a grocery, a kitchen and workshops such asa a cobbler's and a tinsmith's. Don't miss out the exhibition ""La Javie's WWI French soldiers: 1914-1918"", Sainte Madeleine church, Notre Dame chapel, a plum drying room, a communal wash house known as a “bugade” and the Pichotin garden showcasing a collection of La Javie genotypes grafted fruits. Open-air exhibition of agricultural equipment.
Following the visit, visitors are also offered the opportunity to partake in a 30-minute hike to the Notre Dame Chapel.
