The chapel was built under the will of Guillaume Calvy, a member of one of Le Cannet's founding families.
It was thus built in the 16th century, in 1557, in "honor of God, Our Lady of the Angels and Saint-Crépin, in the vineyard, at a place called Vallon de Malleys" (Saint-Crépin is the patron saint of shoemakers, Guillaume Calvy's profession).
