In a region where the acclimatization of exotic plants and the development of gardens are popular activities for winter residents, the Central Society of Agriculture, Horticulture and Acclimatization of the Alpes-Maritimes) needed a headquarters worthy of its importance. It was inaugurated by the President of the Republic Emile Loubet in April 1901. The building has retained all of its interior decorations.
