Located at the edge of la Crau, by the lagoon of the same name, about 10 km from the centre of Istres, it enjoys a natural setting.
Built in the 14th century, it served as a military post. A garrison was installed there by Guillaume II des Baux, lord of Istres and Entressen. It is a striking square tower with machicolation, known as a ‘watchtower"
A delightful small gothic chapel is located nearby.
