The house has seen a lot of work over the years to increase its profitability as a seafront property.
Initially limited to three levels and five central windows, it was laterally enlarged, raised and redecorated several times between 1850 and 1911. It was intended for seasonal renting, each construction being carried out between April and September in order to be able to welcome holidaymakers from October, for the winter season. This is how its current appearance was shaped.
