Welcome to the Muséoscope du Lac, a unique space to explore the history of the Lac de Serre-Ponçon and a great idea for a family activity in the Alps. At Muséoscope, you will discover the story of the dam and the Lac de Serre-Ponçon. A sound and light presentation punctuates your entire visit, giving it a little touch of magic. After you have looked at the models of the villages submerged by the construction of the dam, grab a comfortable seat in the Salle de Cinéma Durance. A film retraces the past of these famous villages, letting their former inhabitants tell their story. Treasure hunt enthusiasts will enjoy the fun area. The highlight of the visit? The short film « The Challenge of the Eagle on the Durance, » (« Le défi de l’aigle sur la Durance ») 8 minutes and 30 seconds of technical wizardry in which the viewer experiences an eagles-eye-view flying over the Haute-Durance. Meet the Wolves

At the Parc Alpha-Loup

At the gates of the Parc National du Mercantour, hear the call of the wild at Parc Alpha-Loup in Vésubie. There, you’ll meet the three wolf packs that roam semi-freely in this natural reserve for an experience of pure emotion. Several observation posts are scattered throughout the park. They will enable you to observe these wild animals without them seeing you. A delight for youngsters! Enthusiasts can get close to the wolves and see what it’s like to be a trainer in a workshop. On the schedule: observation, an introduction to the pack and to the role of the care team and preparing the animals’ food. To make children’s eyes light up, participate in a Night of the Wolves during the summer. You will enjoy a picnic prepared by the park team and dive into the nocturnal ambiance of the park, with the soundtrack of wolves howling around you. An unforgettable experience.
