This footpath was created and signposted by the students of the Forestry School of Montélimar. Ice making was a florishing industry until the beginning of the 20th century. Large pits were dug in the ground (at an altitude above 1,500m) and snow was stocked inside and protected with branches. Carts would then take them to Carpentras where it was sold as far as Marseille...From Bedoin, take the direction of the Mont Ventoux. 12 km further, park on the right in the parking area: Jas de Mélettes
