Discovery tour of the historic centre of Mormoiron.

Discover the history and the architectural, industrial and agricultural heritage of Mormoiron. According to legend, Mormoiron owes its origin to the "murmur" of bees: in the Middle Ages, invaders wanted to lay siege to the village, and its inhabitants defended themselves by throwing logs at them. Surprised and unable to defend themselves, they retreated under the "murmur" of the bees, hence the name Murmurium which, over the centuries, became Mormoiron.
