31 km cycling loop (or 42 km with the extension) around Silvacane Abbey, passing through the villages of Charleval, La Roque d'Anthéron, Lambesc (La Barben and Vernèges for the extension).
Situated at the Bouches-du-Rhône's northern limit, this itinerary oscillating between plains and hills overflows with a spectacular melting pot of Provençal landscapes and architecture. You will enjoy admiring the fruit & vegetable fields, vast farms, sun-drenched villages and Cistercian abbey of Durance valley, coupled with the pine woods, truffle farms and opulent, isolated bastides of the Chaîne des Côtes hills. Naturally, some strenuous pedalling is required to merit the view... This 31 km round trip from the village of Charleval (D561 road, 5km to the west of La Roque d’Anthéron) is pretty challenging. But the prize is more than worth it!
