    # Aiguilles
Aiguilles, the administrative centre of the Queyras canton, is first and foremost a rebuilt village. There are some fine urban-style houses built by emigrants who returned to their homeland (in the 19th century, people from Aiguilles left for the Americas, Argentina and Mexico to make their fortunes).
Aiguilles has an all-metal Eiffel house, and a town hall with remarkable architecture, in the style of the 3rd Republic, made entirely of ashlar and clad in lead.
Aiguilles is home to the Queyras' health services: the Maison de
    health centre, hospital and pharmacy.
