Very easy
  • One of the most prestigious sites in the Haute-Provence geological reserve.
This valley contains a paleontological deposit unique in the world: hundreds of fossilized bones of sirenians, marine mammals that are ancestors of dugongs and manatees.

  • This easy hike starts at the Col des Lèques (7.5km from Castellane towards Digne), on the right after the Les Sirènes campsite, where you'll find a parking lot.
The route first crosses meadows, then continues through a pine forest before arriving at the Sirènes site, the destination of the hike.
Take the path alongside the campsite.
