The perfumer of Seillans
There is no way we can talk about « Atelier du Savon » without mentioning the story of Vicountess Savigny de Moncorps. Let’s go back to the 19th century when the visionary Vicountess launched the village of Seillans into flower-growing by creating the « Parfumeries de Seillans » workshop. Thanks to the Neïsson stream, an irrigation network was born and thousands of plants of jasmine, violets, roses and even lavender were planted. Her ingenuity was noticed by the Minister for Agriculture at the time and she was awarded a prize.
For the record, the first harvest was sold to Chiris, a company which is still well-known in the Grasse world of perfumery! And that was the start of a beautiful story which has marked the territory! And the rest you already know.
