Established since the 90s in Tourrettes-sur-Loup in the Alpes Maritimes, Valentine and Didier raise ewes of the Préalpes and Mourérous breeds, well adapted to the Mediterranean climate and terrain.
- Between the crests of the Cheiron and the Mediterranean, the Bergerie des Courmettes offers its boarders an unspoilt grazing area in the heart of the Préalpes-d'Azur Regional Nature Park. All year round, the ewes feed in the open air, on the gentle slopes of the Pic des Courmettes or in their summer quarters in the Mercantour valleys.
These privileged conditions guarantee the quality of lamb meat sold directly from the farm. But breeding is also carried out for reproduction purposes, and Valentine and Didier carefully monitor lambing periods. For this farming couple, the adventure began in 1983 with a first flock of mother ewes of the "préalpes du sud" breed, well adapted to these Mediterranean soils. And the story goes on...
