Espace lumière – Pra Loup / Val d’Allos

Located in the Southern French Alps, Pra-Loup is a resort appreciated by all. It shares with Val d’Allos a ski area of 180 km named Espace Lumière. The reliefs and vertical drops have made the reputation of these resorts. The 80 slopes allow athletic of all levels to enjoy winter sports. At Pra-Loup, the wooden chalets built in the balcony blend perfectly into the landscape and offer an exceptional view of the valley. On the snow front, cozy little houses and charming hotels bring a touch of poetry to this resort and offer a relaxing setting. A typical high mountain village, Val d’Allos is located at the gates of the Mercantour Natural Park. During your stay, you can walk through the picturesque streets and admire the architecture of the old stone houses. The resort is nestled in a preserved nature and offers panoramas on high altitude landscapes. It is crossed by the course of the Verdon which is punctuated by torrents and offers an exceptional spectacle. Many playful slopes have been laid out and allow you to have fun with friends or family.

Both resorts have obtained the “Famille Plus Montagne” label, as they offer many services and facilities for childcare. Activities are organized all season long for young and old alike and can be enjoyed together or separately. Blue slopes have been laid out at the top of the ski area to allow everyone to discover the pleasure of sliding from the heights. Snowpark and freestyle

Riders, welcome to the Snowpark of Pra-Loup! Big air, rails, whoops, etc. Freeride facilities follow one another for the pleasures of the sportsmen and women. You can also take advantage of three boardercross whose turns, and ground motion follow one another and make you thrill. The grounds are secured, but not groomed.

At the Forest Jump and Snowood slopes in Val d’Allos, you can ride in the heart of the forest on a sliding land punctuated with bumps and turns. It allows beginners and initiates to enjoy the pleasures of freeride. The course is made of snow and natural wood and is secured to allow young and old alike to have fun.

Handiski

The Espace Lumière ski area is committed to making skiing accessible to all. With this in mind, the ski lifts accessible to sit skiers have been identified. The resort also offers reduced rates for disabled people with a Mobility and Inclusion Card (CMI). The Tandem Ski package allows people with reduced mobility to discover the sensations of skiing, guided by a qualified instructor.

Natural Ice Rinks

What would a snow vacation be without a ride at the rink? In Pra-Loup, you can let yourself slide on the ice of a natural ice rink, accompanied by a musical atmosphere. The ice rink is open all day long, but also in the evening. Young and old can enjoy the pleasures of another kind of gliding and try to imitate figure skaters by doing axel or loop.

Mercantour National Park

You can walk along the hiking trails to discover the Mercantour National Park on foot in summer or on snowshoes in winter. A particular fauna and flora flourish in the heart of the Alps. Valley after valley, you will be able to see numerous species and let yourself be bewitched by the scents of the Mediterranean. Whether high peaks or smaller peaks, you can be certain that there are paths that suit your level.
