Things to do in Risoul if the weather is bad

Ideas of activities for when it rains or snows, or if it’s very cold

A great Nordic bath or a few lengths in the pool or letting off steam in an aquagym lesson, there are addresses where you’ll be pampered, and also an escape game and a cinema… Even when it’s raining, the resort of Risoul, between the protected areas of the Queyras and the Écrins, offers a whole range of activities to stay fit or be entertained.

Treat yourself to a well-being day

At the Skiseo water park

Whether it’s raining or snowing, be tempted by a few lengths! Inaugurated in 2019, Skiseo, the aquatic and leisure area in Risoul, has a large 200 m² heated outdoor Nordic pool where you can swim in peace, as you contemplate the majestic peaks of the French southern Alps… before going to relax in the hammam, or join in an aquagym lesson. And if you feel peckish, the snack bar offers drinks and sweets. Risoul also has two not-to-be-missed well-being addresses to test in rainy weather: Pause O Spa, a warm area in the middle of the resort with hammam, sauna, jacuzzi and care treatment cabins with soothing light and a relaxing massage. And the Le Silvana Spa, which also offers care treatment and massage, which you can enjoy on your own or as a couple.

Empty your mind with an escape game

Or at the cinema

Ready to get those brain cells working? Every Tuesday evening, the Veri(soul) bad trip – Cogitarium invites you to take part in an unusual life-size challenge in the resort of Risoul. Objective: to confront the other teams and be the first to find the address of your apartment, which you unfortunately forgot after a rather too festive evening. To win the game, you’ve got to be fast and skilful, and you need a good dose of reflection (from age 16). Want to relax with a good film? The La Forêt Blanche Cinema awaits you in the heart of the season.

Have a good meal in a restaurant

With a good raclette or pancakes

While you wait for the good weather to return, give in to the pleasures of the palate and enjoy some great little mountain dishes. L’Extrad, a traditional restaurant, will delight you with its cheese meal and charcuterie specialities – including an excellent raclette. La Table du Dahu, the restaurant in the Hotel Snow Chill, offers a gastronomic cuisine where mountain specialities are revisited, for the pleasure of foodies. And last of all, L’Ecureuil welcomes you with typically Alpine dishes and pizzas, with crêpes at teatime.
