Serre Chevalier

Serre Chevalier is a ski resort renowned for its vast ski area which reaches over 2,800 m in altitude. Located in the heart of the Southern Alps, it is not far from the Écrins National Park and offers an exceptional setting for the practice of winter sports. It is France’s first unconnected ski area and has I250 kilometers of Alpine ski slopes and 410 hectares of marked trails. Serre Chevalier stretches from Briançon to Col du Lautaret and is located close to the Italian border, making it a perfect destination for combining mountain holidays and tourism.

The slopes crisscross the larch forests and the valleys, carrying skiers in a real high mountain setting. Nicknamed Serre Che, the resort has renowned backcountry ski spots, fun facilities for all, but also facilities for technical skiing. 35 km of slopes are notably intended for Nordic skiing. During your stay, you will have the opportunity to discover cross-country skiing, snowshoe hiking in an exceptional setting, go shopping with friends and discover the fun trails scattered over the area. After a day of sport, relax at the spa resort of Le Monêtier-les-Bains. Relax in the beneficial hot springs and enjoy the moment.

The resort has obtained the “Famille Plus” label (national label which selects French resorts that offer quality services to families and their children) thanks to its many adapted facilities designed to welcome families. Everything has been designed to ensure the comfort of young and old alike. Many activities are available for children and adults and can be enjoyed together or separately.

Serre Chevalier Vallée includes the town of Briançon and the village of Chantemerle, La Salle-les-Alpes, Villeneuve and Le Monêtier-les-Bains. As you walk through the streets, you can discover churches, chapels and old houses. The center of Briançon has a beautiful historical heritage, such as the city of Vauban and Fort des Salettes.
