





The Natura 2000 site at Chauves-souris de la Haute-Tinée covers 1,787 ha in the municipalities of Saint-Etienne-de-Tinée and Saint-Dalmas-le-Selvage. This area is protected for its richness in species and natural environments.
It is home to several species protected at European level, including:
an endemic Franco-Italian Liguro Provençal plant: Bertoloni’s Columbine
five species of bats: the Lesser Horseshoe Bat, the European Barbastelle, the Notch-eared Bat, the Lesser Bat and the Bechstein's Bat.
