Created in August 2000, the Grand Site Concors Sainte-Victoire, labeled in 2004 "Grand Site de France", is a territory of nearly 50,000 hectares of which 6,525 are classified site.
Located between the Durance valley to the north and the Arc valley to the south, it borders the Var department to the east and includes, to the west, part of the town of Aix-en-Provence. The Grand Site Concors Sainte-Victoire project concerns the development and protection of the natural and cultural environment and involves 17 communes.
