Just a few hundred meters from Saint-Mandrier town center, the Ermitage site is one of the last remaining examples of the town's natural and rural heritage.
Domaine de l'Ermitage is a Conservatoire du Littoral property managed by the commune of Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer.
Located to the south of the Saint-Mandrier peninsula, at the gateway to the Toulon urban area, this property combines pine forests, ancient Mediterranean crops and rows of century-old olive trees, making it one of the last remaining examples of rural property on the Var coast.
Thanks to the "Terre de l'Ermitage" association, the rehabilitation of agricultural activity and the enhancement of the natural spaces of this magnificent estate provide a fertile base for activities and training to discover and raise awareness of ecology.
This magnificent estate also offers temporary exhibitions throughout the year.
The Maison de Maître, now converted into a heritage centre, houses an attractive meeting room in the former office of Maître Juvenal, an illustrious lawyer and mayor of Saint-Mandrier from 1970 to 1983. Heritage associations have taken over a room dedicated to them, where they can exhibit part of their collective memory, and on the 1st floor, a beautiful exhibition room houses the Ecomusée de la pêche and temporary exhibitions.
