To see a beautiful Heinkell 111, you have to go to the one in Hyeres... a little deeper than the one in Bastia, but in very good condition.
During the Second World War, it was the aircraft most used by the German air force (Luftwaffe). Its design was clandestine. Having lost the First World War (14/18), Germany was not allowed to rearm. Initially designed to carry a dozen passengers, it could be rapidly transformed into a bomber with a more powerful engine.
This Heinkel 111 stands 83 meters tall, flat on its belly against a background of light sand, making it particularly luminous.
