A little-frequented site by local clubs, this dry stretch offers the opportunity to encounter numerous groupers, conger eels, moray eels, dentex, anglerfish and even some very respectable-sized sunfish!
On the dry side, you'll regularly come across quarries of pretty amberjacks and sunfish (mola mola). The dive is fairly easy, starting 500 meters off the west coast of Porquerolles, just before the black Langoustier beach.
With a little finning, you'll soon reach a small drop-off of 30 or 40 meters, where you'll be able to observe (or photograph) many pelagic fish.
Although not often visited by diving centers, sec des Carrières is a discovery not to be missed.
