Wadi or intermittent watercourse, typically Mediterranean, fed only by rainfall.
The vegetation lining these valleys is a sure sign of intermittent water: rushes, bulrushes and brambles.
Holm oaks, present in other environments, find optimum conditions here for their development. In these wetter environments, we find a range of species different from those of the maquis, the typical Mediterranean plant formation on the island of Porquerolles.
