Located in the Parc Naturel Régional des Alpilles, on the outskirts of the city, this former marshland of Arles is a vast wetland that has been partially drained. It's an ideal spot for a nature walk just a stone's throw from the city.
All freshwater wetland facies are represented: reed beds, temporary pools, riparian vegetation... The site is also home to a rich and diverse wetland fauna, including some species in decline at national level.
A 2 km loop, carefully laid out, allows you to discover these unique ecosystems in immersion, while preserving their fragile balance.
To protect this natural heritage, it's essential to observe a few rules: stay on the marked trails, keep your dogs on a leash, and refrain from taking any samples (fauna, flora, minerals) or disruptive actions such as fires, bivouacs, camping, noisy or motorized activities.
