The Marais du Vigueirat is a protected natural site of 1,200 hectares at the junction of two remarkable ecosystems: the Rhone delta and the steppe plain of the Crau.
The Marais du Vigueirat is one of the most remarkable properties of the Conservatoire du Littoral in the Camargue.
The natural heritage of the Marais du Vigueirat is recognized on a national and international scale, benefiting notably from a classification as a National Nature Reserve, and constitutes a central zone of the Camargue Biosphere Reserve.
All year round, the Marais du Vigueirat can be discovered on a self-guided tour along the Etourneau trails (a trail on stilts for families) or on a guided tour by horse-drawn carriage or on foot. For nature and bird lovers, a 5 km hike is proposed in the heart of the nature reserve, on a route punctuated by various wildlife observatories and observation towers.
The Marais du Vigueirat also offer a "sustainable" store (local products, from Mas-Thibert and Camargue, a bookshop, a nature section, etc.) and a refreshment bar open every day from 11am to 5pm from April to the end of September, and during the All Saints' Day vacations.
