Head out to discover the enchanting valley of Narreyroux, including its magnificent waterfall and chalets. Paths through the forest, a pastoral atmosphere (flocks of sheep) and a beautiful panoramic view are what you will experience on the many hiking routes for all levels.
Narreyroux is a small hamlet, consisting of a few pastoral huts, nestling in a superb valley above Puy Saint Vincent.
It is possible to reach Narreyroux in less than an hour starting from the car park in the Puy Saint Vincent 1600 Resort. The footpath is mainly flat and zigzags through the forest. Another, more physical solution, is to go to Narreyroux on foot from Vallouise. From the Gérendoine bridge, follow the footpath that progressively climbs through the Grand Bois forest (signposted) and comes out directly at the bottom of the hamlet of Narreyroux. When you arrive you will have a beautiful view of the Pelvoux massif and he summit of La Blanche.
This is a very pleasant walk where there are many flowers, particularly at the beginning of the summer (end of June/beginning of July). The small Notre Dame chapel has been superbly restored and has beautiful, recent frescoes. In the hamlet, on the right bank of the stream, the tiny lake that gets its water from the Reychaud spring, is an ideal spot to stop for a picnic. You can carry on further towards the waterfalls and the Bal pass, or even, go as far as the pass itself (2601 m).
