The Biovès gardens occupy an elongated space (28 metres wide and 400 metres long) laid out on the Careï course after it was covered. They form the north-western entrance to the town, on the road from Sospel to Menton, and form the link between the climatic town of the 1870s, to the north-east, and the new Condamine district, at the end of the 19th century, on the other bank of the Careï.
