Podocarpus macrophyllus is a tree of the Podocarpaceae family, often grown as an ornamental tree in parks and gardens because of its habit and evergreen foliage, it reaches between 15 and 20 meters high.
Present in Europe since 1804, year when it was introduced by the care of William Kerr, an English botanist of the XIXth century, the species is apparently native of Yunnan, but it is cultivated since very long in Japan where the
