an invitation to relax !“Holidays in Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur have become a real ritual for our family. Every year, we just love to come to his region we adore with our children. We love what nature has to offer here, and we never get tired of discovering surprising new places. This time, we’ve out down our bags in Cavalaire-sur-Mer in the Gulf of St Tropez, and it was a really good choice !!! It’s a very practical little town because you can do everything on foot or by bike. On top of the big main beach, there’s a more secret beach, Plage de Bonporteau. I was actually very surprised to discover that a lot of people who live in the region don’t even know of it. Even though it is a little outside the town, it’s only 1½ kilometres to the west of the town centre. So you can go there on foot, it takes about twenty minutes, or park for free along “la route de Toulon” after the roundabout when going towards Le Lavandou. Surprisingly enough, the beach isn’t signposted. We wander along Chemin Bonporteau, for about 5 minutes, on a fairly steep 450-metre-long downhill path. And then we come to this superb wild beach, surrounded by rocks and vegetation, and sheltered from the wind. We arrived early in the morning and were completely alone on this fine sandy beach. It’s even better out of season because while the kids play, I could enjoy the colour of the sea which is even more beautiful in the morning. We got the drone out to admire the sea from above and that’s where we said to ourselves that we’d found a real treasure!”
