The Verdon Natural Park

From the marriage between the Verdon, a soft stone and the azure of Provence was born the Verdon. The landscapes are at the same time bucolic and wild : deep gorges or wide cultivated valleys, forests? The Park has been designed to allow the practice of outdoor activities, while allowing the preservation of the landscapes. There are many activities available : hiking, Nordic walking, cycling or horseback riding, climbing, sports trails in the trees… People have occupied these lands for thousands and thousands of years and have left us an incredibly rich cultural heritage: oil mills, medieval castles, oppidums, churches, chapels, oratories… Grocery stores and markets will introduce you to local flavors: honey and gingerbread, goat’s cheese, lamb meat, vegetables, fruit, olives, cold-pressed olive oil, citrus fruit liqueurs, crystallized flowers…
