Valensole is located about 20 kilometres from the beaches of Lake Sainte-Croix. Beaches and many water sports activities are available.

The lavender fields

Valensole is famous for its lavender fields, which stretch for several kilometers and offer a real postcard setting. In bloom between June and July, lavender is an important tourist attraction in the region. It is available in perfume, essential oil, scented sachets, and as a motif on clothes, household linen…

You can admire the lavender fields in flower between mid-June and mid-July. If you are taking photographs, do not enter the fields and do not damage the plants.

Museums of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence

The Lavender Museum is located in a former distillery. You can visit the museum and the gardens, before discovering local products and lavender products in the shop. The Lavender Museum is located south of the village, on the road to Gréoux.
