Préalpes of the French Riviera: the Alps with sea view

Stretching north of Grasse, the Préalpes d’Azur were born from the marriage between the Alps and the French Riviera. The landscapes here are wild and grandiose: vertiginous gorges or wide agricultural valleys, forests… With more than 2000 plant species, the Park is home to a third of France’s flora, including 65 protected species and 40 species found nowhere else. Bird enthusiasts have the opportunity to observe many species: the ladder tichodrome, golden eagle, Jean-le-Blanc circaet, red-backed shrike, white-fronted shrike… Nature is also a great playground for lovers of outdoor activities. Hiking, Nordic walking, mountain biking, cycling, horseback riding, via ferrata, climbing, tree climbing, etc. are all popular. The picturesque villages are reminiscent of a human occupation several thousand years old. During your visits, discover windmills, grain mills, oil mills, oppidums, oratories, chapels?
