The most beautiful beaches in Arles
Piémanson, Into the wild
For nearly six kilometers, the beach of Piémanson hides behind beautiful sand dunes that are home to rare plants. This large wild area has no facilities: no restaurant, no grocery store, no stores less than ten kilometers away. Only a first-aid post watches over holidaymakers in season, in a limited area. This makes it easy to find a quiet place to put your towel down, and children have endless space to play. Piedmont beach is famous for sea kayaking.
Beauduc, the end of the world
Access is by a chaotic and sometimes difficult path. But your efforts are rewarded as soon as you reach the seven-kilometre-long Beauduc beach of fine sand. This wild area is protected by the Conservatoire du Littoral, but the coastal strip belongs to the public domain. Get on an adventure and get organized, especially by taking enough water with you and protection from the sun. Beauduc is one of the most popular kitesurfing spots in the Mediterranean.
For a long time, a hamlet made up of huts and caravans has welcomed freedom-loving inhabitants and holidaymakers. The importance of preserving the remarkable landscapes of the Camargue led to the end of this unique area.
Nautical activities
Swimming and tanning sessions will not keep you busy during your stay: various water activities await you. Renting a kayak, canoe or paddle invites you to discover the treasures of the coast in a different way. Various activities allow you to fill up with emotions: renting a jet-ski, flyboard, wakeboard, windsurf, parasailing, flyfish…
The fauna and flora of the Mediterranean Sea can be seen during a first scuba diving experience, or during a snorkelling session. The private beaches, restaurants and stores on the seafront also contribute to the animation of the seaside resorts of the Camargue coast, during the day or in the evening: mattress rental, gourmet breaks on the sand…
