Treat yourself to a well-being break facing the mountains

Montgenèvre just might make you like bad weather. The Balnéo & Spa Durancia centre, dedicated to well-being, is an invitation to a moment of aquatic cocooning-style relaxation, with a view of the surrounding peaks. In the heated indoor and outdoor pools of the balneo area, you can enjoy a countercurrent river, ebullating beds, a hammam and a sauna. Then, head for the well-being area, with its Kneipp circuit, saline mist cabin and outdoor Onsen baths. And if you feel like it, the NUXE spa has a range of face and body care treatments and (solo or duo), carried out with the products of the famous brand of cosmetics.

Take in a film at the Jean Gabin Cinema

When the sun refuses to show, what could be better than a good film in the comforting atmosphere of a mountain cinema? The Jean Gabin Cinema, in the middle of the resort of Montgenèvre, is easy to get to on foot, and the cinema has a varied programme including many films for kids. From mid-December to mid-April, there are two screenings every day: one at the end of the afternoon at 5.30 and one in the evening at 8.30. Here’s a tip for you, to combine the pleasures of a film and that of a good mountain meal: if you lunch or dine in a restaurant in Montgenèvre and the bill is at least €18 per head, show it at the entrance to the cinema. You’ll get your film at the unique price of €6,50!
